Job Description
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in Dr. Yi Huang’s lab in the Department of Internal Medicine and the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa. This position will focus on the epigenetic roles of histone modifications in breast cancer development and therapeutic response, with the goal of uncovering novel mechanisms that drive tumorigenesis and contribute to therapeutic resistance. Dr. Huang’s lab is NIH-funded and has extensive expertise in cancer biology, employing a wide range of experimental techniques, including genomic and epigenomic analyses, animal models, and high-throughput screening, to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying breast cancer progression and treatment resistance. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Biomedical Sciences or a related field, with a strong research background and a proven publication record in cancer research and anticancer drug development. A solid foundation in molecular biology and cancer pharmacology is required, along with proficiency in techniques such as cell culture, molecular biology, and animal models.
