Job Description
Prof. Donguk Nam's lab (donguknam.com) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University (SNU) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the field of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for quantum technologies and optical AI computing.
This position will be affiliated with the Photonic Artificial Intelligence COmputing REsearch (PICORE) Center(Director: Prof. Kyoungsik Yu), a program selected under the KAIST InnoCORE initiative(https://lnkd.in/grsVBGmZ), and involves participation in a large-scale collaborative research project between Seoul National University, DGIST, Yonsei University and KAIST.
*Specific research topics include:
- Design and implementation of on-chip quantum light sources
- Design and implementation of large-scale photonic circuits for quantum information processing and photonic computation
- The candidate will be involved in the full research cycle, including device/circuit design, fabrication (via foundry or cleanroom facilities), and experimental characterization.
*Qualifications
- PhD in electrical engineering, semiconductor engineering, optics, physics, or related fields
- Experience in semiconductor fabrication, photonic integrated circuit design and characterization is preferred
